A Naming Day / Baby Naming is a wonderful way to welcome your child into the supportive community of family and friends that will nurture them as they grow.
Celebrating a new life filled with love, meaning and the opportunity to create lasting memories.
There are no rules, so you can pretty much celebrate it as you wish.
It can be simple or luxurious, either at your home, the local park (check the local Council requirements for events in parks), the beach (sunset and a barbecue).
- I offer an obligation free meeting, personalised ceremony to suit your requirements, your choice of wording and vows, easy and relax planning.
- I will provide a beautifully printed bound copy of the entire ceremony script for the parents to keep as a treasured momento.
- I will prepare a heartfelt narrative about the child.
- I will curate readings - suggest heartfelt poems, song lyrics or literature excerpts that align with the family's values.
- I will suggest and source rituals
- keepsake elements like a time capsule (a symbolic box filled with souvenirs, letters and cultural artefacts from the present day)
- sand ceremony (where guests write down their hopes, blessings, or life advice for the baby on small pieces of paper and drop them into a decorative jar)
- To run rehearsals so parents and guests know exactly where to stand or sit.
- I will coordinate and run through logistics with you, for example, if venue is outside, I will ensure that there is adequate shade and find a spot for the signing table.
